Padula Charterhouse<\/span><\/a><\/h4>\n

The most beautiful baroque building and, above all, one of the largest monasteries in Italy. The abbey, undoubtedly the most spacious in Europe, is about 12,000 square meters and encircled by a tiara of 84 columns. Here the existential dimension of the friars was reduced to the minimum. We will continue our tour, reaching Pertosa to see the famous Grotte dell’Angelo (Angel’s Grottos) in the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park. The origin of the caves was about 35 million years ago. They are the real pride of speleology in the province of Salerno and, above all, the most important in southern Italy.<\/p>\n
