Herculaneum Ruins, the Vesuvius Volcano and wine tasting Tour!

Free visit (two hours) of the archaeological site of Herculaneum (Guide in person available upon request at an extra charge); After the visit, we will continue our tour up on Vesuvius for a ring walk (90 MIN.) on the top of the Volcano. Free visit.

We will conclude our tour relaxing in a winery at the bottom of Vesuvius. We will taste wines and local food, a perfect combination of history, nature and, of course, local food tradition.

Worth a visit; in other words, you can’t miss it! The Vesuvius Volcano: Mount Vesuvius is one of only two active volcanoes in Continental Europe. It stands about 1281 meters tall, with a symmetrical central cone and steep wooded slopes. Wine tasting at the bottom of Vesuvius: The winemaker will introduce you to the vineyard and cellar. In addition, we will have a wine tasting of their wines, among these the famous Lacryma Christi, and, of course, he will be glad to serve you a light lunch with local products

          Buffalo Mozzarella Organic Farm

          the Guide will show you the step-by-step manufacturing of this famous cheese and other Buffalo products, for example, leather bags and wallets. You can visit their organic vegetables and, above all, their unique spicy gardens. In addition, a visit to the open-air stable where buffalos have their shower and relaxing massage. All buffalos have a proper name!

          The Cilento winery

          Our tour continues in a Cilento winery. The winemaker will introduce you to their vineyard and cellar. Of course, they will offer a wine tasting of red and white wines from different grape varieties. The tasting includes local products such as salami, cheese, and vegetables.

          The most beautiful baroque building and, above all, one of the largest monasteries in Italy. The abbey, undoubtedly the most spacious in Europe, is about 12,000 square meters and encircled by a tiara of 84 columns. Here the existential dimension of the friars was reduced to the minimum. Therefore, they spent almost all their time inside their cells, praying, studying and meditating.

          Pertosa/Auletta Caves

          We will continue our tour, reaching Pertosa to see the famous Grotte dell’Angelo (Angel’s Grottos) in the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park. The origin of the caves was about 35 million years ago. They are the real pride of speleology in the province of Salerno and, above all, the most important in southern Italy.
